Mickey Rourke’s boxing opponent admits that he took a dive in fight

Last month, famed actor and occasional geriatric fighter Mickey Rourke traveled to Russia and took on a man 33 years his junior in a boxing match.

It was a bad time.

Rourke dodged several flailing arms from his opponent Elliott Seymour, countered with a handful of feeble punches, landed one(?) and then Seymour fell down and decided he’d had enough.

It appeared that Seymour had taken a dive against Rourke. After several weeks of waffling, the 29-year-old Seymour admitted that he had in fact been instructed by Rourke’s people to get “knocked out” in the second round and to also be sure to not throw any punches to the actor’s face.

If we can’t trust Russian boxing matches between 62-year-old celebrities and 29-year-old men looking to make a quick $15,000, what can we trust?
