Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers was forced to confront reports of a dressing room unrest at the Anfield club, after he saw his side lose 3-0 away to top-four rival Manchester United.

Responding to a question in his post-match press conference, Rodgers claimed: ‘In every dressing room there have always been been issues, but it is not something I discuss outside of the dressing room. The players are honest but we are not getting results.

‘The players are working hard, the players have given everything.’

Rodgers may have to discuss this further soon, however, as pressure mounts on his position.

A bizarre treatment of some players, such as high-calibre performers Mamadou Sakho and Emre Can—who have featured just nine times in the league between them—and a favouring of underperformers such as centre-back Dejan Lovren, underlines these reports.
