Arsenal legend Thierry Henry retires from football, joins Sky Sports as pundit

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has confirmed he’s retiring from football, with the Frenchman signing up as a pundit with Sky Sports.

The 37-year-old, who had been playing in America with MLS side New York Red Bulls, left them last month but had been expected to continue his career.

However, despite speculation linking him short-term moves to Arsenal and PSG, he has decided to hang up his boots.

‘After 20 years in the game I have decided to retire from professional football. It has been an incredible journey and I would like to thank all the fans, team mates and individuals involved that have made my time in the game so special,’ he said.

And he’s already got a new career lined up…
