Pragmatic Thoughts In A Quixotic Context


My time in Vancouver is almost over. My flight from YVR departs tomorrow and not 13 hours later I set foot on German ground. If you have ever travelled somewhere for a longer period of time, you’ll recognize this time as the the stage during which you draw a conclusion. You weigh the good aspects against the bad ones and if you mainly remember the good bits then you get somewhat bitter. You might not want to leave; maybe stay for another week to visit one more place or meet up with your new friends once more. I am in that stage right now. And while I am certainly looking forward to come home and see my girlfriend, my family and my friends, I am also slightly sad about the people I met; most of which I am not likely to see again.
