Malaysian Borneo – Gaya Island

... So what comes now??

We knew we would be tired after the Mount Kinabalu climb so we had booked ourselves a few days to relax on the nearby Pulau Gaya (Gaya Island) before starting our journey home. Although the island can easily be seen from Kota Kinabalu, the resort had chosen to stay at was around the far side, so although we could see some lights from the city, it made for a very peaceful spot. We took a short boat ride out to the island just in time to watch the sun set. We were really pleased to finally get a chance to see a sunset after the failed attempt several days before. With no clouds in the sky and only islands in the distance it made for a great view.
