This past September we embarked upon a hilariously fun trip to Yellowstone.  If you lead an outdoor oriented life or have ever lived in Wyoming then you probably usually avoid Yellowstone.  Understandably so, because this crazy place sees approximately 3,000,000 visitors a year.  You will be stuck in traffic, and probably very frustrated at some point in your trip.  You will damn near get run over multiple times by rental RVs and suburbans crammed full of people WAY more interested in getting a picture of a bison or a squirrel than your well being.

There is a rough statistic in Yellowstone that more than 95% of all visitors never get more than 200 feet away from their car/RV/what ever monstrosity they hauled across America.  That, my friends, is sad.  Very sad.  The good stuff is way beyond what you can see from the road.
