Is it okay to take pictures of monks?

The answer is probably not, but this wasn’t followed by the majority of people in Luang Prabang!

After the bus ride from hell I made it to LPQ backpackers hostel, where I met a small group of people all travelling individually, and we decided to travel about together for the next few days. LPQ backpackers hostel is okay, clean, if a little cramped. However with a free breakfast, wifi and aircon, and also hot showers, what more could you ask for?

Anyway, I met up with Rachel and Emma from Edinburgh, Donna from the Netherlands and Georgie from Melbourne. We decided to temple it up for the first day and walked around Luang Prabang to look at the National museum (it was closed for National Laos day) and then a few other temples.
